REVIEW: Get Bent (Hard Rock Roots #2) by C.M. Stunich

Synopsis

Naomi Knox is missing.
I don't even f*cking know whether she's dead or alive.
What I do know is that she's the air I need to breathe.
She's my redemption, an all consuming fire that burns in my blood.
And I'll do anything to find her. Anything. Even if it means the end for me.

& & &

Turner Campbell is searching.
But he has no f*cking clue what it is he's searching for.
There's darkness all around and enough secrets to choke.
There are angels, and there are devils. It's impossible to tell them apart.
Light needs to be shone on the truth, but there's no one left to hold the torch. The line between life and death is blurred, and the players are all thoroughly entrenched in the game. The question is: am I still one of them?

My Thougths

Get Bent continues on from where Real Ugly finished. Naomi Knox is missing and Turner Campbell will do anything to find her. He loves her, and that's what you do for someone you love.
I feel like freaking Sherlock Holmes or some shit, like I should be walking around with a damn magnifying glass.

Damn you, Naomi Knox, with your fuck all attitude and your pretty orange eyes. Who the fuck are you to disrupt everything, to tear up my soul and leave me wanting and searching without my ever knowing I wasn't whole?

Yep, Turner has it BAD for Naomi. He becomes a different version of himself in Get Bent. Well no, not really. He's still got his foul mouth, but he seems to be some kind of love sick fool. And by some miracle, he stays sober! OK, maybe that's a little harsh. Bottom line, he's still the Turner Campbell that I fell in love with in Real Ugly. He just isn't afraid to let everyone know how he feels about Naomi. And that's a good thing. Right?
I've got a purpose now, and it feels damn good. Everything I do between now and the moment my lips meet Naomi's again, is focused wholly on that task. Nothing else matters.

I've been through a lot of girls, hundreds even, and I don't give a shit about any of them. For Naomi, I'd chop off my own dick. Pretty simple.

Love is a disease, man, and I'm fucking chronic.

See what I mean? Love sick fool ;)

When Naomi resurfaces, more mysteries arise. There are twists and turns with just about each new chapter. I was pulled in every direction until I thought I would snap. And I just about did! Why? Because there's ANOTHER CLIFFHANGER! Holy cow! And just when I thought that Naomi and Turner might FINALLY get their happily ever after!

C.M Stunich is an absolute genius with her writing! I absolutely love her writing style! Again, she has the ability to suck you in from the start of the book, keeps you hanging by a thread the entire time, and then rips your heart out and stomps on it! It's a fantastic journey!
