REVIEW: All of You (Between Breaths #1) by Christina Lee

Synopsis

Avery has just met her hot upstairs neighbor. He's irresistible. Tattooed. And a virgin.

Nursing student Avery Michaels wants nothing to do with dating—she's perfectly happy single. Privy to too many of her mother's bad decisions and even worse taste in boyfriends, all Avery can handle is a string of uncomplicated hookups whenever the mood strikes.

When she meets smoking hot tattoo artist Bennett, she wants him—for just one night. But he won't accept a no-strings-attached arrangement. He lives by a straight-laced code of values based on his own troubled upbringing.

Bennett sees something special in Avery and he wants more from her. Way more. As Avery wrestles with her emotions for Bennett, danger and tragedy force them to open up to each other. And Avery must face the terrifying realization that she wants more from him, too.

So she needs to make a choice—let Bennett go or finally let him in.

My Thoughts

Avery is a nursing student. She lives on her own, attends classes and works at the nearby Nursing Home. Due to events that have happened to her in the past, she has built walls around her heart to protect herself from being hurt. She is more than eager to participate in a one night stand, but is content with being single. At a party one night, she meets Bennett.

Bennett is the 'perfect guy'. He's hot as hell, sensitive and caring, and much to Avery's disappointment, doesn't seem interested in her. The next morning, she discovers that he is moving into her building! Bennett and Avery become friends, but there is constant sexual tension between the two of them.

As things slowly progress, Avery learns that Bennett is a VIRGIN! Due to his own past, he wants to wait to give that part of himself away. He wants to wait until he finds 'love'. Without her realising it, Bennett begins to break through Avery's walls.

After a few steamy encounters Avery wants Bennett more than anything. Is she able to admit her feelings to herself and let Bennett in, and will Bennett give her his ultimate gift?

I must say, All of You was FANTASTIC! I loved the role reversal of the main characters. It was refreshing reading about a male virgin.

I loved Avery's character - she's strong, independent and not afraid to go after what she wants. She also has a softer and caring side that shows around her younger brother, and I felt an instant connection to her. And what's not to love about Bennett? He has everything a girl could want! He was so loveable!

I was so immersed in this story. I loved every minute I spent reading it. Christina Lee's writing is purely AMAZING! She was able to drag so many emotions out of me during the course of the book. I smiled, laughed, got angry and cried. Cried because of sadness, and happiness.

I loved the feelings I experienced while I was reading All of You, and it has earned a place among my favourite books. Definitely a MUST READ!

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
